SEMPBA Community Water Testing Station

Water testing of wells and ponds for chloride levels has been an integral part of outreach projects developed through the MVP Subterranean Resiliency grant to the Town of Plymouth. The Community Water Testing Station will be a long-term legacy of this grant. Located in the basement of SEMPBA's headquarters at Center Hill Preserve, residents will be able to bring water samples to the station and run the tests themselves or have SEMPBA trained volunteers run tests. In the near future, SEMPBA hopes to expand testing capacity to provide algae identification and other tests. The station, it should be noted, is not a laboratory. If testing indicates serious water quality issues, the SEMPBA team will suggest further testing in a commercial laboratory.
